Romantic Hawaii Wedding | The Sheraton, Kona | Nathaniel & Alicia
One of my favorite things about being a Hawaii wedding photographer is that Hawaii it is often a halfway point for cross cultural love and marriage (the best!). My lovely Canadian bride (Alicia) and kiwi ( New Zealander) groom, (Nathaniel) were the perfect example of this- and their incredible friends families came from far and wide to surround them on their big day. They chose the beautiful grounds of the Sheraton in Kona Hawaii for their morning ceremony- and the stunning “King’s Mansion” property in Kealakekua for their evening reception celebration. Few things get me more emotional in my job than seeing the attending loved ones whole heartedly endorse and celebrate the character and union of a bride and groom. The speeches at this wedding had me in tears. Um, and the dessert too (passion fruit pavlova, and the most heavenly NZ style brownies) It’s dangerous when the family keeps bringing the photographers sweets- and then pulls them out on the dance floor(!) Wow, we truly feel so honored to always be making the coolest new friends from all over the world. Wedding photography and film is really just an excuse to walk alongside beautiful hearts on their biggest day. We love it. Wouldn’t trade it. (Also, stay tuned for the gorgeous cinematic highlight reel Taylor will soon be releasing from this wedding!) For now, enjoy this preview!
